Mr. Collier, the Managing Partner at Luther, Collier, Hodges and Cash, is Martindale-Hubbell “AV Preeminent” rated in Litigation, Construction Law and Insurance by other attorneys, peers and judges. According to Martindale-Hubbell, “An AV certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment attesting to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.”
For almost twenty years, Mr. Collier has focused on personal injury, wrongful death, general liability, premises liability and breach of contract cases. Roadway construction, work-zone safety, hydroplaning, trucking accidents, skylights, falls, fires and explosions make up much of nearly two decades’ experience. Mr. Collier has had the honor and privilege of representing clients in many jury trials. Jury trial experience ranges from garden variety personal injuries to wrongful death and catastrophic burns. Often, Mr. Collier’s litigation practice overlaps with his construction practice. He is fluent in representing owners, general contractors, subcontractors, sureties, manufacturers and vendors. A long list of case experience includes single-family custom homes, commercial developments, complex condominium construction and site work issues (ponds, dams and surface water). The insurance practice involves indemnity, risk-transfer actions, subrogation, direct representation and declaratory judgment actions.
During his first semester of law school at the University of Mississippi, Mr. Collier married his high school sweetheart, Lesley. They are the proud parents of two sons, Daniel and Joseph. In addition to enjoying Ole Miss football with his family, Mr. Collier enjoys endurance sports and reading.
Mr. Collier is licensed to practice in Alabama and Mississippi.
